Україна повинна мати чітко окреслені гарантії безпеки: НАТО або надійна альтернатива.
Якщо ми не маємо НАТО, то, умовно кажучи, НАТО треба будувати в Україні. Умовно кажучи, але робити не умовно, а робити предметно. Тобто мільйонна армія. І тут потрібні гроші, і хто дає на це гроші. Окрім грошей – зброя. Якщо контингент, то розмір цього контингенту, де будуть, із яких країн, чим і як вони озброєні. І якщо контингент, то дуже важливо не втрачати США в тому чи іншому вигляді.

Ukraine must have clearly defined security guarantees: NATO or a reliable alternative.
If we don’t have NATO, then, figuratively speaking, NATO must be built in Ukraine. Figuratively speaking—but the actions must be real and substantive. This means a million-strong army, which requires funding and those who provide it. Beyond funding, it also requires weapons. If there’s a contingent, then the size of this contingent, where it will be deployed, from which countries, and how and with what it will be armed must all be clearly defined. And if there is a contingent, it is crucial not to lose the United States in one form or another.
I held a video conference with journalists during my visit to the UAE. I shared the details of our meeting with President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and of the agreement that was signed today. I also spoke about negotiations aimed at bringing peace closer, Europe and its support for Ukraine, as well as the security guarantees our country needs.
